寒山拾得
中国唐代中期の寒山と拾得の二人の高僧。二人とも奇行が多く、詩人としても有名だが、その実在すら疑われることもある。拾得は天台山国清寺こくせいじの食事係をしていたが、近くの寒巌かんがんに隠れ住み乞食こじきのような格好をした寒山と仲がよく、寺の残飯をとっておいては寒山に持たせてやったという。また、この二人は文殊菩薩もんじゅぼさつ、普賢ふげん菩薩の生まれ変わりといわれる。画題としてもよく用いられる。

Condition:The mounting is in good condition. It shows a sign of the painting has been restored in the past.
Some stains and damages are present on the painting associated with its great age.
