After the painting and fabrics dry naturally on the karibari board for 2 to 3 months, remove them from the board.
Roll glass beads over the back of the final backing to make it soften. Remove the margin from the painting
and fabrics. Use a spatula to make a pattern, cut off the margin with a knife, and stretch the ears with a bamboo
cylinder. Cut off the frayed fibers with scissors. Attach a lower roller. Open the roller pocket and place the roller
on. Make sure the position of the roller and glue with thick paste.
Next, attach an upper roller with thick paste. Use iron to assure a beautiful result. After setting the upper and lower
rollers, attach two decorative flat fabric strips called Futai, which was sewn to the hanging bar of the scroll. In order
to assemble the futai well for storage, make a pattern on the strips. After attach the futai, attach metal rings to the top
and tie strings. Sew strings to wind around the scroll. Glue the frayed end of the string.
Finally it is finished. Before the scroll is delivered to the customers, hang it for a while to make sure it is ready
for use.
