The history Gryoki Bosastu
opened the temple by the prayer of the imperial ordinance of the Emperor Shomu, and it was

named it Kosenji temple, and made it the third sacred place. The old tile in the tempyo,
Fujiwara era was excavated at the precincts so it is imagined that the scale in those days

pagoda, and he named the title of the temple Kikozan. The majority of the building except
Taishido were destroyed by fire of war by Motochika Chosogabe 10 in the Tensho era. The

There is the grave which is said the Imperial mausoleum of the Emperor Chokei of Nancho at the bach of the main temple. While the Emperor Chokei staied at this temple, he was down by a illness and he died 5 in the Oei era. A stone monument was excavate under the grave, it was inscribed with "The inperior mausoleum he died 19 march 5 in Oei era. He was fifty-three years old.", so it was ascertained that it was a Imperial mausoleum. |
